Apple Juice Recipes for your Juicer

Apple Juice RecipesSurely you’ve heard the saying “An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away”? Research shows that apples promote good health and offer many health benefits.

Fresh apples can help cleanse the system, lower cholesterol, keep blood glucose levels up and aid in digestion.  They are a great source of Vitamin A and also contain Vitamin C, B and G.

Aside from containing many vitamins and minerals, apples also contain phytonutrients which are believed to have powerful antioxidant effects. Studies show that phytonutrients support and promote good health by:

  • Reducing the risk of certain cancers
  • Protecting against brain cell damage
  • Reducing the risk of heart disease
  • Reducing the risk of asthma.

Apples are one of the most versatile fruits for juicing and can be blended with any vegetable juice to give it a natural sweetness.  Generally, the greener the apple, the sharper its juice.  So grab an apple and drink your “apple a day” with one of the following apple juice recipes.

Apple Juice Recipes

Apple Juice with Ginseng

  • 3 apples, washed and cut into pieces
  • 1 cup washed red grapes
  • Half lemon, peeled
  • 1/2 tsp powdered ginseng

Using your juice, process apples, grapes and lemon.  Whisk together and pour into glass.  Whisk in ginseng.

 

Apple Pear Juice

  • 2 apples, washed and cut into pieces
  • 2 pears, washed and cut into pieces
  • 1/2″ piece ginger root
  • 1/2 cup washed red or green grapes
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Process apples, pears, ginger and grapes in juicer.  Whisk together and pour into glass.  Whisk in cinnamon.

 

Apple-Beet-Pear Juice

  • 2 apples, washed and cut into pieces
  • 1 pear, washed and cut into pieces
  • 3 beets, scrubbed and washed (tops and stems intact)
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1/2″ piece ginger root

Process apples, pear, beets, lemon and ginger in juicer.  Whisk together and pour into glass.

 

Apple-Peach-Pear Juice

  • 1 apple, washed and cut into pieces
  • 2 peaches, peeled, pitted and halved
  • 3 pears, washed and cut into pieces
  • 1/2 lime, peeled

Process apple, pears, peaches and lime in juicer.  Whisk together and pour into glass.
